I believe the Dr. cannot tell you that information unless your daughter wants him to. I think that even though she is a minor she is still protected by privacy laws.
I think on examination yes they can tell. The skin looks different and the hymen could be broken. As far as legally can they tell you, depends on the age of your daughter. If she is a minor I would think yes.
If you learn that she was not honest, remember you were young once and I am sure she is scared. Getting angry won't help. Talk to her and educate her on how to protect herself and that sex is not a game or a tool to lure people.
Good luck! I know I will be facing these same moments sooner than I want!

he would be able to tell on examination but legally not sure depends on how old she is.
If she is older than 13 the doctor cannot tell you without her permission, it sucks but its a privacy thing. I think that if you are concerned about your daughter having sex then you need to speak to her about it. Plus most of the time you can see it in a girls face once shes had sex, there is just something different about them. I have been able to tell with all of my friends before they even told me and even my little sister.
A hymen can be broken thru athletic activity - gymnastics, horseback riding, pretty much anything. Your daughter could be telling you the truth, but is her virginity really that important? If her hymen has been broken that way, technically she is still a virgin as she hasn't had sex.
I would think the Dr. could tell bc you can go to the dr before you get married and have your hymen stretched (or fixed to where you don't have as much pain on your honeymoon).
