We Have A Winner. See Posts Below. Thanks to all who entered. We'll have a slideshow up shortly. --CF
Hello crafters, we have another craft contest!
This time, it’s for Mother's Day. So even though it's your day, go ahead get those crafting tools out and come up with something fabulous. After all, it's for the greater good. Who else is going to do it if Mom doesn't, right?
Prizes are $300 for the winner, plus two $50 runners up. Please make sure to include pictures. You are free to post crafts without pics, but unfortunately we cannot include them in the competition for the prize. So please include pictures to make sure you are entered for the prize. Please make sure to post images in our photo album section in order to be considered for entry.
Of course, it has to be Mother’s Day themed, no knock-offs or copies from other sites (not that anyone here would do anything like that) and Amanda, our crafty mom expert will decide the winner based on creativity, originality and how easy it is for kids to do.
The deadline is May 1, and the winners will be announced by May 6. We’ll also include the winners in a neat slideshow and feature it on the Kaboose craft section. For legal information and official rules please click here: www.kaboose.com/contests/CraftContestRules.html
Post your entries here in this topic thread. OK, happy crafting!
There's $400 waiting to be given away, everyone get crafting! :-D If you need some inspiration, visit the Mother's Day craft section to see what Kaboose has to offer. There are several new crafts that were just added in the last few days. :)

I have a question..... Can this be an edible craft? I have an idea in mind that would be a really cute table display but would be edible as well. :)
Thanks!
I double checked with Christine about this and she has ok'd edible crafts as long as they fit within the guidelines of the contest (originality, kids can make it, etc) Thanks!

My favorite craft for mother's day is a vase of flowers.
You take a old empty plastic jar and decorate it with paper, stickers, etc.
Then you cut out flower shapes and write something nice, or a chore you will do for mom. Examples: I love it when you brush my hair, I will help you fold the laundry, An afternoon of snuggling and watching movies.
I then cut out the flower shapes and have the kids color them. Then I tape the flower tops to a straw and put them in the decorated vase.
Post a picture so that your entry can be included in the judging! :)

here is a picture of my craft Shoe-gift for the Mother's Day contest . It's really easy to make a child of 2 1/2 or 3 could do it an adult help. You get a child's old shoe ,fill the heel with stryofoam.Paint the shoe gold and let dry, then with your sellected silk flowers cut down to size stick in the styrofoam. You may want to place dried spanish moss to cover any wires showing . You can also add a child's hand shaped card to make really cute .I have made these for the last 3 years at school and my parents love them.
