Easter Craft Contest

Hello crafters, well it's contest time again. This time it's an Easter craft. If you have some fun, creative crafts to do with your little one, please submit them. The first prize will be $400, and two runners up of $50 each. And this time, we're going to do things a little differently. We're going to create a slideshow of the winners and some of the contest entries, and post them live on the crafts channel for the world to see!

So I'll post a link to the official contest rules tomorrow but the low down is:

Has to be Easter themed, no knock-offs or copies from other sites (not that anyone here would do anything like that) and Amanda, our crafty mom expert will decide the winner based on creativity, originality and how easy it is for kids to do.

Post your entries here in this topic thread. Make sure the pictures are clear and of good quality since we may include them in our slideshow. Make sure to also take a few hi res images as well, in case we need you to send those along. Good luck. We'll be posting the winners shortly before Easter! Here are the official rules.

I needed 30 Easter baskets for the preschool party - that they could make.

This is easy and inexpensive.  Here is my bunny basket.  A gallon milk jug is the base - with a built-in handle that won't break.  Firts cut off the spout with a hole around the top - just large enough for little hands to fit in.  I used google eyes, pom pom nose and a cotton ball tail.  Two-face tape is the best for holding the pieces on.  I poked six holes behind the nose and threaded pipe cleaners through for whiskers. I drew on the mouth with a permanent marker.  And, the ears are poster board secured with clear packing tape.

Adorable and built to withstand the preschool rough and tumble! Awesome craft, I love it and am going to borrow the idea myself! Thanks Mendy

Peat pot easter baskets.

You take those little peat pots you find in the garden section and paint them whatever color you want with acrylic paints.

Then you add a pipe cleaner handle and hot glue silk flowers, eggs or whatever you want around the edge. Fill them with easter grass and some easter candy and they make great party favors for easter dinner or brunch.

We made paper Easter Egg Garland. I traced some egg shapes on cardstock and the let the kids use stickers, makers or paper punches to decorate them.  After they were done we hung them on our fireplace.  The kids loved it and it was so easy to do.
